Garrett Boudreaux

Born and raised Michigander, but also raised by television. Why do you think he breaks the proverbial fourth wall?

Oh, you don’t know that yet… because this is the bio. Whoops.

Garrett grew up in southeast Michigan, watching family sitcoms to occupy his days and mind for the close connections. He found his love for television from the Saturday mornings with his grandfather watching Sanford and Son and ending the day with The Bernie Mac Show in secret during those Midwest nights.

As a Michigan State University Spartan, he submitted and won honorary awards in the Filmetry Film Festival for 2020 and 2021 for his adaptive works of Michigan poets. He honed skills in both writing and directing by being a co-showrunner of the MSU Telecasters’ The Giraffe House (a Michigan Always Sunny in Philadelphia)

After receiving his B.A. at MSU, he received an M.F.A. in screenwriting at University of California, Los Angeles with an emphasis in television comedy writing under the tutelage of award-winning writers and showrunners along with teaching

When he is not writing or watching, you can find him wandering LA beaches to conquer his thalassophobia.
